PANJIM: As the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department decision to withdraw all the NOCs, permissions and other recommendations issued for conversion of Sanads in the planning areas of Parra-Arpora-Nagoa, Calangute-Candolim and Vasco caused panic and confusion, the TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane on Thursday clarified that the order pertains to only issuance of fresh Sanads.

Speaking to media persons post TCP Board meeting, Rane said that conversion of Sanads which are already issued based on the Outline Development Plans (ODPs) of Parra-Arpora-Nagoa, Calangute-Candolim and Vasco, will continue to remain in force. “But no fresh Sanads will be issued based on these ODPs, which stands suspended,” he explained.

The Government on April 22 suspended the final ODPs of Parra-Arpora-Nagoa, Calangute-Candolim and Vasco pending scrutiny. A ten-member committee headed by CTP Rajesh Naik was constituted to scrutinize and review these ODPs and submit report within 60 days.

Meanwhile, the Minister said that review committee is likely to submit its report on these three ODPs by June 15-16. “He said that the detailed report will be also placed in the House, during the upcoming monsoon session of the Goa Legislative Assembly.
