VASCO: No confidence motion was passed against Sancoale Sarpanch Girish Pillai. Six panchas voted in support of the motion while five against at a meeting held in the Sancoale Village Panchayat, on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media persons, Panch Narayan Naik informed that the no confidence motion was moved against the sarpanch because there was no development work taking place in the village.
He also added that there are no differences among all the 11 panchas and assured that overall development of the village, especially the Panchayat Ghar Project will likely to happen in next two years time.
It may be recalled that on May 27, six panchas of Sancoale Panchayat had moved no confidence motion against the sarpanch citing that he doesn’t take panchas into confidence while executing any works and also there was no speedy developmental works taking place in the village.
One more reason the panchas stated that the allotted term period of the outgoing sarpanch was long over and this made the other panchas to move no confidence motion against the outgoing sarpanch.
