MARGAO: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Minister for Women and Child Development Vishwajit Rane distributed sanction orders to 3,000 beneficiaries from South Goa under the Griha Aadhar Scheme at a function held at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao (RBM) on Thursday.
Sawant said the number of the women beneficiaries of Griha Adhar (GA) scheme will reach to 1,50 lakh beneficiaries after addition of about 11,000 additional beneficiaries in a programme at RBM and Ravindra Bhavan, Sanquelim. He said more than three lakh families have benefited with Griha Adhar and Dayanand Samajik Suraksha Yojana schemes which provide financial assistance and towards this government is working tirelessly.
All the beneficiaries have benefitted till August 2023, he informed.
He said monthly assistance gets credited in the account of a beneficiary which is linked with Adhar. Also Agriculture subsidies, Fisheries subsidy, Milk incentives, scholarships are also cleared till date he said. Around Rs 300 crores has been released in September for social welfare of the people of the State he informed.
The gas cylinder rate has been reduced by the government by Rs 200 and additional Rs 200 has been reduced for Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.
He added that by next year, the financial assistance will be increased under Griha Adhar scheme linked with the market.
Rane said, it is not a simple assurance which the Government has fulfilled through the Griha Adhar scheme.
Goa is a model state for other States, he said and mentioned that Goa has made great progress in education, health and all other fields.
