PONDA: Sand extraction in broad daylight in river near Khandepar Bridge has shocked the locals.
Khandepar villagers wonder how someone can extract sand despite there being a ban on the same and the flying squad of mines department has been conducting raids regularly.
According to locals, sand extraction began many days and that it would destroy the environment and marine lives.
Locals claim that sand extraction is being done in broad daylight in the river near Khandepar Bridge which can be seen by the thousands of motorists and officials passing over the bridge. However, no action is being taken, as according to some locals it is being done with the blessings of the politicians.
