Bicholim: The Bicholom mamlatdar Pravinjay Pandit along with the officials of mines and geology raided a sand extraction site at Amona, in Bicholim and seized 120 cubic metre of sand that had been
illegally extracted.
The sand was later dumped back into the River Mandovi with the assistance of JCB.
The Deputy Director of Mines, Abhir Hede; Geologist, Sudhir Mandrekar; Talathi, Gaurish Naik, Aji Gaokar and Police Constable Manoj Gawas were present during the raid.
