MARGAO: The Internet connectivity issue of Sanguem and nearby areas will be resolved very soon, besides the works pertaining to roads and other works at Carla-Sanguem will commence in the next three months, stated Tribal Welfare Minister Govind Gaude at Margao.
On Friday, the minister had a meeting with the South Goa District Collector, and all other officials of concerned departments including officials of few Internet service providing companies at the District Collectorate building. Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar also attended the meeting.
Reacting to the problem of poor Internet connectivity in rural areas the minister said the issue has been discussed with the Internet providing companies. “We have instructed the companies to go to the areas of Sanguem, besides all other rural villages facing network problems to resolve the issue and provide the people with good and proper network”, he informed
The minister told media he is very serious on resolving the issues of Sanguem, especially the hardships faced by tribal communities. He had two different meetings one related to Carla village, Forest Act and the other with regard to the internet connectivity problem at Sanguem and nearby areas.
Gaude informed that all the issues were discussed with the concerned officials related to roads, power, and water.
