SANGUEM: The newly elected Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar began his political work by garlanding the statue of Dayanand Bandodkar at the entrance to the Sanguem bus stand. After garlanding the statue Goa’s first chief minister, Gaonkar proceeded to the Sanguem Municipal Council where he had a brief meeting with the councilors and the staff members.

Gaonkar made it abundantly clear to the councillors and the staff members that he is not interested in the council politics and that as the MLA from the constituency he is more interested in bringing all round development in Sanguem constituency.

Gaonkar urged the councillors to work unitedly with him and provide him all support and cooperation for developing the constituency.

Gaonkar assured to work for all the people from Sanguem without discrimination.

Gaonkar also visited the Government Primary Health Centre Sanguem where he was welcomed by the staff members. During his brief visit to the PHC, Gaonkar got acquainted himself with the ongoing renovation work and also the functioning of the PHC.

Meanwhile, people from Sanguem have welcomed the decision of Gaonkar to support the BJP government.
