VASCO: Jubilant Sankalp Amonkar has said they have no differences, as its mutual understanding between him, Saifullah Khan and Sharad Chopdekar that whoever may be the candidate, they would willingly support each other.
“The All India Youth Congress (IYC) had assured me that two youth leaders Pratima Coutinho and I would get ticket from Fatorda and Mormugao constituencies. Later, IYC requested that one needs to compromise and Pratima willingly sacrificed her seat and I’m very grateful to her,” said Amonkar.
“Without the help of Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi and IYC, I would have not got the ticket,” said Amonkar.
“I knew that I would get the ticket and knowing these facts I had commenced my poll preparation nearly one-half-year ago. I had opened six campaign offices and completed ground work much before any other candidate, the only delay was the official announcement of ticket,” said Amonkar.
Jubilant supporters of Amonkar gathered at Dabolim airport to receive Amonkar, who had arrived from Delhi.
“We have no differences, its mutual understanding between me, Saifullah Khan and Sharad Chopdekar that whoever may be the candidate, they would willingly support each other. My victory would be their victory,” said Amonkar.
