Expressing sadness over the kindergartner’s death due to suspected dengue, Congress spokesperson Sankhalp Amonkar slammed the government for not procuring enough fogging machines to cater to Vasco town and Mormugao taluka.
“The municipality has only two fogging machines. How can two machines be enough for all 22 wards?” he questioned.
He urged the municipality to purchase new fogging machines immediately and suggested that if the civic body has no money, they should take sponsorship from companies to buy the same. He requested the local MLAs to leave politics aside and address the issue, which is critical.
He urged the MLAs not to push the buck on municipalities and panchayats but instead work with them to procure the fogging machines and also provide them with labour.
