SANGUEM: A 17-year-old boy from Dhadem, Sanvordem is feared to have drowned in the river at Muslimwada, Sanguem on Saturday afternoon.
According to available information, Saidutt Naik along with his three friends had gone for a bath in the river at Muslimwada, Sanguem.
While having bath, as all of them ventured into the river, Saidutt failed to realise the water depth and started crying for help.
Hearing Saidutt’s cries for help, his friends tried to save him. However, all their efforts went in vain.
Immediately, after receiving information about the incident, Sanguem Police rushed to the site and sought the assistance of the Curchorem Fire Services.
However, till late in the evening, Saidutt could not be traced. The search operations will continue tomorrow morning, sources informed.
