MARGAO, SEPT 6
The estranged wife of former Tourism Minister, Mickky Pacheco, Sara has said she is in no way connected to overseas recruiting, immigration racket or money laundering.
A day after Mickky created doubts in the media on the question of  Sara sending boys abroad even after their separation four years ago, she told the media that the recruiting agency Fransa Manpower was opened by her in 1998 with the help of then member of parliament  Francisco Sardinha and the company was shut down within a year in 1999.
She said that Mickky might have been sending boys abroad by using her business venture after its closure, adding that only a thorough investigation into the immigration racket and money laundering would unearth the true facts. “I have not sent any boys abroad after 1999. May be, Mickky had been giving the letters and using my signature to send the boys abroad”, she said.
Sara has given the USA address of her venture Fransa Manpower as Bayside Office Center, 141 NE, 3rd Ave Suite # 405, Miami, Florida.
Sara alleged that her estranged husband had a tie-up with the owner of a restaurant, besides a person from Navelim to recruit people overseas. “During the existence of my company,  I might have sent many boys to work on board the ship. I have never sent any boy to work on land in the United States”, she stressed.
Bailancho Ekvott President Auda Viegas said there is no need for anyone to give “self certification” in the case when the Central Bureau of Investigation is investigating the case. “Let the truth come out. The CBI is investigating the case”, Viegas added.
