PANJIM: The 2017-probation IPS Officer Sahil Sarangal has been posted as Margao sub divisional police officer. The Central government had this month posted Sarangal to the State on probation as he along with six IPS probationers of 2017 and 2018 batches completed IPS Phase-II training.
The order of his posting issued by SP (PHQ) Mahesh Gaonkar said the probation IPS officer has reported to Goa Police and is posted as SDPO, Margao, South Goa district with immediate effect. The department also issued postings of the six new DySPs who were awaiting postings as well as transfer of DySP (Traffic, North Goa) Dharmesh Angle to Konkan Railway, Margao. DySP Prabodh Shirwaikar has been posted to South Traffic Cell while Harishchandra Madkaikar is the new DySP Coastal Security, Santosh Desai is posted as DySP PHQ, and Uday Parab, Sandesh Chodankar and Shaikh Salim have been posted to Special Branch, GRP A & B, and North Traffic Cell respectively.
