Sarpanch promises modern bus stand at Carambolim

In a bid to provide better transport facility to the villagers, Carambolim Sarpanch Balchandra Usgoankar has initiated plans to set up state-of-the-art bus stand, catering to the services of Carambolim bus transporters.
According to sources, the new bus stand is likely to be ready in two years time and will be situated close to the Carambolim Panchayat, which will also house over 10 shops.
Speaking to Herald, Sarpanch Balchandra Usgoankar said the panchayat has initiated plans to construct a bus stand, especially for Carambolim villagers.
“We have already initiated the land acquisition process for the bus stand, which is almost complete. About 2,300 sq mtrs of land has been identified for the bus stand with the help of our local Cumbarjua MLA Pandurang Madkaikar,” he said.
“I will see that the bus stand get to its completion as soon as possible. We will also approach the State government to sanction us funds for the construction of the bus stand in Carambolim,” he added.
