Nine rescued from drowning

CALANGUTE, OCT 17 Nine persons, including three foreign nationals, were saved from drowning by Drishti Surf Life team of lifeguards along the Candolim, Calangute and Arambol coasts.

Nine persons, including three foreign nationals, were saved from drowning by Drishti Surf Life team of lifeguards along the Candolim, Calangute and Arambol coasts.
According to Drishti reports, a Mumbai couple, Rounak Marfartia (25) and Gauri Kandira (25) were saved at Candolim by lifeguards Narayan Gauns and Rajendra Gaonkar, while at Calangute, Sudesha Devi (40) from Bangalore and Renuka Barde (26) from Karnataka were saved by lifeguard Anil Gaonkar and others.
A Kerala duo of Rakesh and Sujit were also saved by lifeguards Arun Kumbharjuvekar and Amit Shinde.
At Arambol, a Kazakhstan trio of Lawrence Godwin (38), Ushtap Nuqthaiva (31) and Gulsim A Kulrary (26) were saved by lifeguards Sakharam Bandekar and Vijay Pednekar.
