Sarthak silk and cotton exhibition at Panjim

PANJIM: 'Silk and Cotton Fair' Exhibition cum Sale organized by Sarthak Silk Handloom Welfare Society is underway at Club National, Panjim. The exhibition will conclude on September 29 and is open between 10am to 8:30pm.

PANJIM: ‘Silk and Cotton Fair’ Exhibition cum Sale organized by Sarthak Silk Handloom Welfare Society is underway at Club National, Panjim. The exhibition will conclude on September 29 and is open between 10am to 8:30pm.
With over 25 stalls and products from 30 different places across the country, available are variety of collection in all kinds of saris, kurtis, dress materials, bags and jewellery.
Saris and dress material in tussar and moonga silk from Bihar, Banarasi saris, Jaipuri kurtis, Kheecha silks, tissue nets and Pashmina from Banaras and Jaipur are available at the exhibition. The saris are priced between Rs 500 to 5000.
For regular use, Kalamkari saris, traditional kota and the matka silks, are available in an affordable range. Hand printed dupattas are priced at Rs 500 and Lucknowi Chikan kurtas priced at Rs 1,450.
For special occasions, a wide range of Manipuri silks, Warli printed saris, Bishnupri silks, chiffons, the Bengali style Dhakai Jamdanis, Maheshwari silks from Madhya Pradesh, Kashmiri pattern Silks, Muslins, crepes and georgettes are available.
While matching jewellery are available at the Jaipur and Rajasthani jewellery stalls and also leather bags at the Odissa stall, at discounted rates.
