Sateri temple at Curchorem burgled

CURCHOREM, DEC 22 Burglars decamped with cash and silver ornaments worth Rs 1.50 lakh from Sateri Temple in Curchorem on Tuesday night. According to Curchorem Police,

Burglars decamped with cash and silver ornaments worth Rs 1.50 lakh from Sateri Temple in Curchorem on Tuesday night.
According to Curchorem Police, the burglars entered the temple by break opening a side door and decamped with silver ornaments and some cash from the cash box.
Police further informed that the stolen goods include two silver masks of the deity, two silver chains and a silver umbrella.
Incidentally, this is the third time the burglars have committed theft in Santeri Temple, Curchorem.
Quepem DySP Rohidas Patre visited the site and took stock of the situation.
Finger print experts and the dog squad were pressed into service.
Curchorem MLA Syham Satardekar also visited the site and expressed displeasure over functioning of the police, as the temple is situated near main Curchorem market. PI Bhanudas Dessai is investigating the case.
