PANJIM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun an exercise to strengthen the West Bengal BJP Unit with the appointment of Satish Dhond as new State Co-Organization General Secretary. This is Dhond’s second transfer from Goa, where he is currently holding the organisational secretary post.
The BJP’s order comes in view of the panchayat elections in West Bengal next year and the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade confirmed the reshuffle but also denied that any replacement has been arranged by the party for Goa in the meantime.
