SATTARI: Expressing their anger against their local MLAs for not solving the Land Ownership Right of Alvara, Gavthan, Mokasdari, Kumeri villages and Forest Land Rights issue for the last five decades, Sattari Bhumiputras alleged that the MLAs have misguided them and have transferred the same in their name.
On Sunday, at a maha sabha, the locals said, “The representatives of Sattari Taluka have failed to solve the land rights issue of the said villages for the last five decades. Poriem and Valpoi Constituencies MLAs are misguiding us on Land Ownership Right issue. Both MLAs have grabbed the land rights by transferring the same on their name. They have completely neglected to solve our issue.”
“The government, since Goa Liberation, has totally failed to solve our Land Ownership Right issue. Both MLAs Pratapsing Rane and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane have misguided us,” they claimed.
Welcoming the ‘Goa Bhumiputra Adhikarani Bill’, the locals felt that implementation of the same would give them the right over ownership of houses.
