BICHOLIM: Prashant Patil, a resident of Zariwada-Podoshe, Sattari, has demanded a probe into the missing of his brother Prakash Patil, a notorious criminal, for the last three months.
Prashant, in his complaint to the Bicholim Police, has strongly suspected the involvement of the in-laws of his brother behind his disappearance.
Prakash is a notorious history-sheeter and a convicted criminal in the States of Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka. He was previously married to a woman and out of the wedlock has a son. The couple later divorced and Prakash married again twice. His third wife is pregnant.
On March 8, Prashant had lodged a complaint with the Bicholim Police but the police refused to register the case. On March 27, he filed a complaint before the North Goa Superintendent of Police, DGP and the Chief Secretary,seeking direction to the Bicholim Police to register an FIR and investigate it and locate the whereabouts of his brother Prakash.
