VALPOI: Sattari Taluka’s Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd held its 40th Annual General Meeting recently. Around 200 farmers of the 7630 members attended and requested youth to join the farmers’ society.
According to this year annual report, the society is facing Rs 10 lakh loss due to the pending dues of the society to the provident funds.
Chairman Pandurang Gawas said the society is in loss because it has failed in recovering loans.
Gawas said that they now plan to join with the Bicholim Taluka farmers in order to strengthen the society.
