Save Old Goa Action Committee Submits 5,000 Objections Against IPB Laterite Resort Project

The Save Old Goa Action Committee has delivered around 5,000 objection letters on the IPB Laterite Resort project at Old Goa. These letters were submitted to the Director of Industries, Trade, and Commerce, urging a reconsideration of the proposed project at Ella, Old Goa. The objections represent a collective voice from over 5,000 individuals who have signed petitions expressing their concerns about the environmental and cultural impact of the IPB project. The committee, comprising people from various walks of life, has garnered support from neighbouring villages, adding to the significant opposition.

In a united effort on Sunday, individuals from diverse backgrounds, including laymen, civil society members, religious leaders, priests, nuns, and Opposition party leaders, joined forces to sign petitions at Grace Church in Margao. The strong objections raised highlight the widespread community concern regarding the Ms Laterite Resort project in Ella, Old Goa.
