Savia Viegas to talk on her book

MARGAO: Gomant Vidya Niketan has organized a talk by accomplished Goan writer, Senior Fulbright Scholar and Ministry of Culture (India) Fellow Savia Viegas on Friday, July 26, at 6 pm at Fomento Amphitheatre on 2nd floor of Gomant Vidya Niketan.

MARGAO: Gomant Vidya Niketan has organized a talk by accomplished Goan writer, Senior Fulbright Scholar and Ministry of Culture (India) Fellow Savia Viegas on Friday, July 26, at 6 pm at Fomento Amphitheatre on 2nd floor of Gomant Vidya Niketan.
She will talk on her novel ‘Let me tell you something about Quinta’ and her other books.
Savia Viegas hails from Carmona in Salcete and belongs to a family of old ‘Zoncar lineage’, which is reflected in her novels. 
She is a successful writer and has also authored novel like ‘Tales from the Attic’ ‘Abha Nama’, ‘Eddi & Diddi’ which have been acclaimed by readers and critics alike.
Viegas holds a PhD in Satavahan Sculptural Art from University of Mumbai. After working for Times of India group for a number of years and teaching in college she returned to her ancestral home, where she devotes her time to reading, writing, painting and managing a pre-primary school, Saxttikids in the backyard of her old home. 
Currently she is working on a book on the work of Goan Painter Angelo            da Fonseca.
