PANJIM: Former independent MLA Naresh Sawal, Goa Velha Sarpanch Jagdish Bhobe and former BJP worker and Usgao panch Vijay Gaonkar will join Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) on Sunday.
Speaking to Herald, MGP General Secretary Lavoo Mamledar said, “Sawal, Bhobe and Gaonkar and few others will join MGP tomorrow (Sunday). MGP has decided that Sawal will contest from Bicholim and together with Goa Suraksha Manch our alliance partner, we will contest in 35 constituencies.”
Sawal, after resigning as MLA, had said he would join MGP and contest from Bicholim. Meanwhile, Bhobe, who has won panchayat elections many terms, is also set to be inducted into the MGP.
