PERNEM: The Pernem police arrested Galib Chand Koudi, 34, a native of Sawantwadi, Maharashtra for committing theft of mobile phones of tourists from Arambol beach.
The complaint in this regard was lodged on October 15, by one Shashank Rai, a native of Delhi where his two mobile phones of different brands were stolen while he had kept them on the beach while taking bath.
After stealing the mobile phone handsets, the accused was absconding and was nabbed with help of technical surveillance. So far the police have recovered four mobile phones of different brand from accused, all valued at Rs 15 lakh.
