PANJIM, APRIL 27
The Crime Branch today said it is doing everything necessary to arrest the police constable Sanjay Parab, who has been absconding for past two months.
“We have raided Parab’s house a number of times “We have called his parents and the relatives but no sign of him,” DySP Chandrakant Salgaokar told reporters here.
Salgaokar said that the Crime Branch is trying all out to nab the absconding policemen.
“We have issued look-out notices against him,” he said.
Incidentally, there were allegations against the Crime Branch of deliberately not making effort to arrest the cop as he had threatened to name the other officers involved in the scam.
Asked why the cops were still not dismissed from service, he said, “I have sent a report to the sent let them decide on the dismissal.”
“I have said in the report that the following officials are involved in the crime. But the dismissal has to be decided by the headquarters,” he stated.
However, the DySP remarked “their jobs are as good as gone”.
