PANJIM: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Tuesday said that the State government is pursuing with the COVID-19 vaccine manufacturer to supply the Goa’s consignment so as to start vaccinating people aged 18-45 years.
Rane said, “Goa has placed the order with the company and Chief Minister is pursuing it. Every State government has placed orders and they have not got any firm commitment from the manufacturer except for few governments from the respective companies.”
“We are pursuing the matter and I am sure some sort of outcome will come,” he said adding “I will inform you when we get it.”
The Goa government has placed orders with the Serum Institute of India (SII), Pune, for five lakh vaccine doses.
