new DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday reserved its verdict on a batch of petitions seeking an independent probe into the alleged mysterious death of Mumbai’s Special CBI Judge Brijgopal Harkishan Loya in Nagpur in December 2014.
The Maharashtra government concluded its submissions on Friday against the probe, insisting that a simple cardiac arrest was being unnecessarily blown into a controversy three years.
Chief Justice Dipak Misra transferred the case to his Bench, with Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud as two other judges, and held elaborate hearing spread over two months.
