PANJIM: The Mission Political Reservation for Scheduled Tribes of Goa on Thursday appealed to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to clear the file and submit the proposal for reservation of seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) communities in the State, to the Government of India at the earliest so that the long pending demand is fulfilled.
Addressing a press conference in the city, Mission Political Reservation for Scheduled Tribes of Goa general secretary Rupesh Velip said that the Director of Tribal Affairs Deshrath Redkar had already sent a proposal to reserve four Assembly seats for ST communities to the Secretary (Tribal Affairs) on February 21, for approval of the Chief Minister. .
