PANJIM: The Directorate of Education (DoE) has written to heads of departments of government, aided, unaided secondary and high secondary schools to send names of students and staff, who participated or won in 37th National Games before November 25.
In a circular, Deputy Director of Education (Academic) Sindhu Prabhu Dessai said, “Goa has successfully hosted the 37th National Games 2023 from October 25 to November 9, 2023. Many sportspersons showcased their athletic potential by participating in several sporting disciplines. Students and staff of various institutions from Goa also participated in several events with enthusiasm and emerged as winners.”
“Heads of all the institutions are hereby requested to send the names of the students and staff who participated or won in the 37th National Games 2023,” Prabhu Dessai said.
Last month, the Directorate of Education had asked the heads of the schools to depute 30 students and two teachers to attend the inaugural ceremony of the national games. The message was sent to the government-aided, unaided and secondary and higher secondary schools. The ceremony was held at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda.
