Scooter gutted at Sanquelim

A Honda Activa scooter belonging to a person from Vasco was guttered in a fire at Sanquelim on Friday, causing a loss of about Rs 30,000.
According to reports, Shripad Vallabh V Bagkar from Vasco had gone to a washing centre at Sanquelim and when he parked his scooter (GA-06-B-0835) in the garage, the vehicle suddenly caught fire.
A Bicholim fire brigade rushed to the site and extinguished the fire.
Firemen recovered half burnt cash of Rs 5,000 from the scooter.
The fire services managed to save surrounding property worth Rs 1 lakh.
The caused of the fire is unclear and investigations are in progress.
