MAPUSA: Feroz Ali (26), a native of Uttar Pradesh, died while pillion rider Mohit Kumar suffered serious injuries in a road accident at Arpora on Friday.
According to Anjuna police, Ali, with two pillion riders, was proceeding towards Baga from Arpora on a scooter. On reaching near Royal beach resort, the victim skidded and rammed into an oncoming passenger rickshaw.
Ali suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot, while one pillion rider Mohit Kumar, who suffered serious injuries, is undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim. The other pillion rider Raju Khan, 22, suffered minor injuries.
Police have registered a accidental death case. PSI Amir Taral is investigating.
