MARGAO: A 56-year-old pedestrian sustained injuries after he was knocked down near Indona, Davorlim allegedly by a drunk scooterist.
Police stated that the scooterist, Nitesh Kinekar (36), was proceeding from Zoriwaddo to Power House Margao and upon reaching Don Khuris, knocked down Jafar Gondar while he was crossing the road.
The police said “The accused was drunk and had no valid licence either. The injured victim has been hospitalised at the South Goa District Hospital, Margao for treatment.”
An offence under section 279, 337 of the IPC and 185 of Motor Vehicle Act has been registered against the accused Kinekar.
