Scrap PDAs, denotify ODPs: Goencho Awaaz

MARGAO: Demanding that PDAs and ODP be scrapped and denotified, Goencho Awaz has  called upon the government to keep the RP 2021 in abeyance.
Goencho Awaaz says it expects the Goa Government to concede to its demands and urges the MLAs to attend the meeting to express their solidarity to the cause.
Goencho Awaaz has demanded that a new Regional Plan 2031 be prepared with collection of all baseline data and in conformity with the constitutional mandate of the peoples participation.
Goencho Awaaz will place the demand to scrap PDAs and denotify ODPs and to keep RP 2021 in abeyance with permissions only to family dwellings, village schools and hospitals in Goa
“The people empowered with proper data of Goa will prepare the Regional Plan, which will be a plan for Golden Goa,” said activist Abhijit Prabhudessai.
Capt Viriato Fernandes of the Goencho Awaaz claimed to expose the elected representatives, who have allegedly “looted” the state of its land and alleged that there are forest, comunidade, open spaces and green lands taken by representatives.
“The list of the elected representatives of Goa, which we are harping on, is a compilation of the complaints of thousands of people from villages against the persons, whose names have been added to tracks of lands converted,” he claimed.
The demands of Goencho Awaaz include stopping of all the work of road widening, no new roads, no coal transportation through Goa and delisting of the rivers from the National Waterways Act.
