PONDA: The Bhoma Panchayat finally demolished the illegal scrapyards operating in its jurisdiction.
The action comes following several complaints from locals against illegal scrapyards in operating in the village.
Last year, a fire incident was reported at a scrapyard wherein locals feared that it may spread to a nearby school located near the scrapyard. The scrapyard operators had stored various scrap materials including discarded tyres on large scale. Sarpanch Sunil Bhomkar and Panchas were present during the demolition operation.
