CURCHOREM: The Sanvordem-Curchorem Rail Consumer Association (SCRCA) has demanded to change the timings of the Vasco-Yeshwantpur daily express.
In a letter to the Divisional Railway Manager of South Western Railways (SWR) at Hubli, they urged them to reschedule the departure timing of the daily train from Vasco railway station from 10.55 pm to 9 pm for the convenience of the passengers.
According to the SCRCA President Devanand Bhandari the 17310 train which leaves from Vasco at 10.55 pm, arrives at Curchorem railway station at 11.55 pm and passengers do not get connectivity trains to Bijapur, Bhagalkot. “We have many requests from the passengers to urge the authorities to reschedule the departure timings to 9 pm instead of 10.55 pm, so as to get them the onwards train to go to Bijapur Bhagalkot,” said Bhandari and thanked the authorities for commencing this train as it is a great help to commuters including business community from Goa and neighbouring states.
