MARGAO: Goa Seafarers Association of India on Tuesday announced the launching of COVID care kits, oxygen cylinders, and wheelchairs for the seafarers’ community.
As informed by Frank Viegas, President of GSAI the kits will be handed over to the needful person of the community who suffered a lot of hardships during the COVID 19 pandemic today. at Margao.
Frank mentioned that the timely help from the Sailors Society UK and Seafarers International Relief Fund were great assistance to the Seafarers community. He said these kits will be a great source of assistance which can be used during their onward journey or at home.
Seafarers have to fill GSAI helping aid form which is available at the GSAI office Madel, Margao, one has to be fit the criteria to avail of the benefits, The whole project itself worth around 50 lakhs.
“GSAI is grateful and thankful to those who contributed to this cause and showing concern towards seafarers community”, said Frank.
