MARGAO: Officials of Goan Seamen’s Association of India (GSAI) thanked Rajya Sabha MP Luizinho Faleiro for showing concern towards the seafarers’ community by raising seafarers’ pension issue in the Parliament.
GSAI officals led by Frank Viegas, President and Dixon Vaz, besides Benny D’Costa met Faleiro and thanked him for raising the issues of seamen in the House.
Former Navelim MLA and Rajya Sabha MP, Faleiro had presented in the Rajya Sabha session the problems plaguing the sailors in Goa and the difficulties they face in getting the permission and other matters they need to board the ships.
