MARGAO: The Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) is conducting an inquiry into the Material Recovery
Facility (MRF) shed at Colva that has been missing for two weeks now.
GSPCB officials said they are in the process of submitting their report for further action to be initiated. Judith Almeida of the Colva Civic and Consumer Forum (CCCF) had pointed out that not only was the shed erected here with police support but the GSPCB had also informed the High Court that Colva had a temporary MRF set up.
While the High Court had directed all the panchayats to set up MRF, she alleged that the Colva panchayat had been repeatedly showing MRFS at different locations.
