‘Seashore’ is Goa’s tableau theme for R-Day parade

PANJIM: Goa Tableau at the Republic Day Cultural Pageantry to be held in the National Capital, New Delhi on January 26 will have “Seashore” as its theme and will depict the seashore of Goa along with its biodiversity and livelihoods.
The Goa State as in the previous years, this year too will present its tableau at the Republic Day Cultural.
The State Government has selected Vinayak Decorators as the agency for conceptualisation designing, fabrication and presentation of float. Last year, the State had presented its tableau, on the Gandhi Connect.
A team of 69 skilled manpower under the guidance of Siddhesh Vinayak Dessai, are working round the clock to ensure that the Goa Tableau is complete and ready in all respects before the full dress rehearsal to be held at Rajpath in New Delhi on January 23. 
The music is composed by well-known musician Mukesh Ghatwal while the dance choreography is done by Siddhi Dessai, Sonali Dessai and Swara Dessai. The highlight of the tableau will be the participation of two young artistes namely five-year-old Shanaya Dessai and three-year-old Tanish Naik, who perform live on the tableau when the Republic Day Parade will wend its way, at Rajpath on January 26.
The performing artistes will have participation of some reputed artistes. These include, Virendra Naik, Satyawan Chawan, Atul Rane, Viraj and Vinayak Naik, Shaikh Hussain, Pravin Sabnis and Mukesh Gatwal.
As part of the Bharat Parva Celebration, the Goa Tableau will be displayed in front of Red Fort, New Delhi till January 31 for public view.
