Seats reserved for Goans in veterinary sciences at Puducherry

PANJIM: The Goa government has reserved seats for the degree course in “Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry” for Goan students, at the Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary & Animal Science, Puducherry.

PANJIM: The Goa government has reserved seats for the degree course in “Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry” for Goan students, at the Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary & Animal Science, Puducherry. 
Students seeking admission for these seats from Goa should have passed the HSSC examination in Goa with a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate in physics, chemistry, English and biology/botany /zoology.
The candidate should be a resident of Goa with minimum domicile of 15 years, belonging to the farming community and have a rural background. Income from all sources should not exceed Rs 5 lakh per annum, states a government release.
Further, the candidate will have to compulsorily serve the government in rural areas on a stipend for a minimum period of 1 year upon completion of the course, for which an agreement bond will have to be signed. Interested students should fill the application form online that can be downloaded from www.centaconline.in and the last date for submission of application is May 30, 2017.
