MARGAO: The Margao Town Police arrested the second accused 32-year-old Gururaj Korgude, a resident of Kharewado, Vasco in connection with the robbery at a pharmacy on November 30, 2019. However the police are still on the lookout for the third accused “Combdi”.
Police had earlier arrested 32-year-old Imtiaz Gokak on the day of the crime as he fell off the roof and fractured his legs.
Meanwhile, Margao Town Police recovered the gold chain snatched from the neck of Severina Camotio resident of San Jose de Areal.
They recovered the chain worth around Rs. 63,000 from the accused 29-year-old Owais Ali Sayyed, who had hidden it in his underwear.
Sayyed had snatched the chain from the lady when the bus halted near Pandava Chapel. The chain was recovered when he was brought to the police station.
Owais is from Amrutnagar in Thane-Maharashtra and usually hangs around the Margao Railway Station.
