Vasco: The second day of the voluntary lockdown in Vasco received a good response. The markets including the vegetable and fish market as well as other shops and commercial outlets remained closed.
Mormugao Municipal Chairperson Nandadeep Raut reiterated his demand for a lockdown by the government and added that if not for a total lockdown,, then at least a partial lockdown should be implemented given that COVID cases have started emerging outside Mangor Hill and in other parts of Vasco town.
He also expressed happiness that vendors responded to municipality’s call for a voluntary lockdown.
