The protesters received information that the magistrate had invoked the precautionary measures that lead to offences against a person leading a peaceful protest against DefExpo.
While this is precautionary measure, locals have condemned this move and vowed that they won’t let the government crush their dissent.
The protesters had resolved last Sunday to hold a hunger strike during the DefExpo outside the venue and to raise black flags. United Goans Foundation has also crticitised the government for stooping to a new low.
