MARGAO: Fatorda Police have beefed up the security at places and establishments which are vulnerable to burglaries and robberies.
The police have increased their night patrolling, picketing and checking of vehicles at major junctions and roads in Fatorda to thwart robbery and burglary attempts.
A week ago, a person had robbed the chapel in the old market area. Acting on the complaint, the police had arrested the accused immediately. To avoid any such incidents, Fatorda staff is deployed for night patrolling after 12 am to check each and every religious place and ATMs and jewellery shops to prevent burglaries at night.
Fatorda PI Kapil Nayak informed that the vulnerable areas are being manned.
He said by means of patrolling and police presence the commission of a crime will be stopped.
