PANJIM: Following the series of news reports in the past few days, BJP on Tuesday said the government has begun the recruitment process and clarified that the 1000 posts selected during the chief ministership of Laxmikant Parsekar will not be cancelled.
Addressing the media, BJP general secretary Sadanand Tanavade said, “In the last two days there have been reports related to government jobs and to stop this confusion we decided to call for a press conference after having a word with the CM to clarify that the government will not cancel the 1000 posts selected during the Parsekar government.”
He said the Chief Minister will brief the media after the cabinet meeting on how many posts have been filled and if vacancies have lapsed.
“Those who have cleared the recruitment process in 2016 will be absorbed. During the interaction with the Chief Minister he assured of a new selection process which will deal with vacancies for the entire year in each government department,” he added.
