PANJIM, JUNE 13
Heritage Institute of Hotel & Tourism organised a seminar on ‘The New Trends in Hospitality Industry’ at the Vasco Residency Hall, Vasco, where prominent personalities of the industry were invited to guide the budding professionals.
Chief consultant of Palette Hotels S K Mukherjee and GM of Hotel Supreme Debashis Sen Roy were the chief guests for the occasion. Also Goa Rehabilitation Board Director Arnaldo Basili do Rego, Vasco councilor Lavina and Pascoal D’Souza were present for the function.
S K Mukherjie explained about the new trends in hospitality industry and shared his experiences. The other speakers gave an insight into the hospitality industry and tips of success to the students. All of them unanimously asked the students to develop self drive and urged them to do their best. They also told that whatever knowledge they are accumulating at the institute will remain useless until they are able to express themselves and communicate it to others. This they strongly felt was the secret of success.
There was also a cultural programme put up by the students of HIHT in which they put up various dances and songs. Altogether it was a very impressive show of talent by the students. Finally the students of the institute were distributed laptops at the hands of the guests.
The event was concluded by a vote of thanks by Deputy Director Vikas Chopra.
