Ponda: With by-elections and LS elections fast approaching the campaign in Shiroda is becoming aggressive with sensational allegations by various party politicians.Subash Shirodkar on the occasion of his birthday meeting at Shiroda appealed the votes to elect him and BJP’s candidate in the coming polls by giving 16,000 to 18000 votes. He was speaking at public meeting at Shiroda on the occasion of his birthday.
On the occasion also present were BJP President Vinay Tendulkar, South Goa MP Narendra Savoikar and party workers.
He said there are around 15000 voters from the Bandari community, around 5000 thousand from the ST community and 5000 from the Catholic community beside around 1500 voters from the Muslim community.
Speaking further Subash Shirodkar said he worked for the development of constituency and today politician from outside the Shiroda constituency are campaigning here and luring the voters. Referring to another politician who campaigned in the area he said he had no vote share but he still came here to campaign. Some of the Shiroda workers call him Asarambapu and questioned the voters whether woman of Shiroda would attend the meetings of this Asarambapu.
