Seraulim farmers blame Western Bypass for their woes, fear worst during monsoon

MARGAO: Farmers from Seraulim complained over the difficulties they faced due to the construction of the Western Bypass and feared the worst during the monsoons.

While speaking to media persons on Saturday after a successfully harvesting their paddy, the farmers referred to the water-logging issues that arise during the monsoon, which prevents them from cultivating their crops.

They bitterly complained that the incessant rains inundated and waterlogged their paddy fields last year and pointed out that they never faced such disastrous issues earlier.
