Seraulim Villagers Unite for Manipur: Mission Collects Over Rs 4 Lakh for Relief

Seraulim: In a commendable display of solidarity, the residents of Seraulim have embarked on the “Seraulim for Manipur Mission,” a humanitarian initiative to aid the people of Manipur. The mission has successfully gathered a total amount of Rs 4,08,215.00, showcasing the community’s compassion and generosity.

 Polly D’ Cruz, a villager leading the initiative, revealed that the mission has already dispatched 322 cartons of biscuits valued at Rs 2,00377.00 through the Street Providence NGO. This consignment was blessed at the Seraulim church by Fr. Jose Gomes, the Parish Priest, on October 20, 2023, before being sent to Sangolda Mapusa and further to the depot in Manipur.

Further demonstrating their commitment, the villagers recently dispatched the remaining Rs 208,000 worth of various food items through the Street Providence NGO on November 17, 2023. The efforts of the Seraulim community have garnered widespread appreciation, with villagers expressing gratitude for the support received, including heartfelt contributions from the Holy Family schoolchildren who collected funds through piggy banks and small denominations. The initiative stands as a testament to the collective goodwill and kindness within the Seraulim community.
