MARGAO: A series of unfortunate accidents struck Salcete on Sunday, resulting in one person sustaining serious injuries while two others, including a woman, managed to escape with minor injuries.
The woman was rushed to the South Goa District Hospital and subsequently discharged, whereas a scooter rider who suffered serious injuries was transferred to the GMC.
A collision occurred between a scooter and a fish truck near Khadem, leaving the scooter rider, Sarvesh Velip, injured. Accompanying him as a pillion rider was his aunt, who was taken to the South Goa District Hospital and subsequently discharged after treatment.
A second accident unfolded at Cabo de Rama, involving two cars that collided and led to minor injuries for both drivers. In another incident, a car driver at Tembe, Raia, lost control over his vehicle and collided with a streetlight pole. The driver, identified as Xec Mamlecar, sustained minor injuries.
